2008 Year in Review

2008 has definitely been an interesting year...

To update my previous post, I did end up losing my job at TransMontaigne... I took the severance package and have been living off of it for the past five months. All that changes on Monday, I start a new career at First Data... a little later than I wanted to start a new career but satisfied that I will be doing something.

Soccer has been good to me. This last Fall, I coached two teams. Both were a great group of girls but there were issues with the u-14 team. This Spring, at my request, I will only be coaching the u-12 team. Both teams struggled this Fall, played well, but did not get the results that they deserved at times.

Refereeing has been interesting too. There is still much turmoil and uncertainty coming into 2009 but hopefully, important groundwork has been laid for a successful 2009. I have not been working a whole lot... injuries and coaching two teams have taken away much of my abilities to referee games. I am very hopeful that 2009 can finally be an eventful, productive and healthy year that I need to jumpstart andre-invigorate my career.

2009 marks a very important year for me. In May, I will have my 10 year reunion from D'Evelyn. Much has changed for his class... the death of JB was hard on everyone. It has also been interesting to see what people have been up to. In a way, I feel like I am behind everyone. I look up people on Facebook and they're married, kids, or a combination of the two. Me? I can't keep a steady girlfriend. I know people say to be patient and love will find me... it's hard waiting.

Man... it is getting late... I should go to bed... I will write more often... I promise!
